Qadir Ali Denis Prone

URS date:  March 30, 2020

I was privileged to be Qadir Ali’s guide for almost eleven years. What a journey he made, both inner and outer in that time! During the years that I knew him, he lived in Dublin, Gerona and Valencia before finally settling in California. He had an extensive and fulfilling career in international finance, living on assignment in thirteen countries and visiting many more, during which time he met and worked with his wife, Alima.   They both left their careers to study for doctorates in transpersonal psychology. He concentrated on the pathway of healing. This continued through his lifetime and he completed a two -year healing course with the Inayati Order. Later he became a Healing Conductor with the DHO. He was devoted to the Ritual and was a member of a local healing group. The last time we met was at Llama almost two years ago. I remember going up early one morning to Murshid Sam’s tomb and praying there with himself and Alima. My husband, Michael and I were also guests in their home where their generosity knew no bounds.
He was a gifted man in so many ways. One of his loves was photography; a room in their home was full of very beautiful studies of wild animals which he had taken on safari in Tanzania. He was interested in dreams and learned a lot from his own.
In the final years of his life he was asked to turn to self-healing; as the Oracle of Delphi says ‘Healer, heal thyself’. He learnt how to be with those parts of himself that needed kindness and to be heard. He worked hard at healing relationships with his adult daughter and son, both of whom live in Australia. He delighted in Pir Shabda’s zikr sessions and Wali Ali’s classes on the 99 names. He wanted to be of service.
What I witnessed was a wonderful heart opening which ended in peace and acceptance.
Thank you dear friend, you taught me a lot about Love, Harmony and Beauty. Your presence is sorely missed by all who knew you.

May your soul smile
In the embrace
Of your Anam Chara (Soul Friend)
