Muid was a flowing river of nature-love. He walked in harmony with the earth and transmitted that peace with his very breath, and yet he was humble as dirt. I am so glad to have known him.
Al hum d’lillah
Latifah said it well- so humble with a presence that filled or fills the atmosphere. He inspired me in the sweet circles we sat in.
Dance on beloved, Hafiz
This was my great uncle and I have so much admiration and respect and love for him. He was so strong in life, that he still shines through.
He was driving me to school one morning, fifth grade, in his vw rabbit with a dashboard of beautiful feathers and rocks….just enjoying the ride..to realize he was taking in the nature and beauty that we were going about 5 mph and had a traffic jam behind us buses, cars, you name it… He hardly sped up and led the parade to my school, where I got out and felt like the coolest kid ever…he really enriched my life and there will never be anyone like him.
