At the Abode Purusha wove wonderful shawls with mohair of many colors – the blue ones were especially appealing. She was an artist and a lover of beauty, a good friend and a gossip.
I remember one of her darshans with Pir Vilayat in which he told her to “live hard and sleep fast” something like that – to do everything, explore everything, seemed to be what he was saying. Years later when she visited me in rural CA, she was appalled at the simplicity of my life, and thought I should have a larger house and do more exciting things in the city – I had to laugh because it brought back that darshan and the difference between our personalities! I also thought about that darshan when I heard that Purusha had died, as it seems as if she was encouraged to engage with life as thoroughly as possible in a short time….
