Our beloved Sufi sister Carol McGonegal passed away peacefully yesterday morning, at home, with her beloved husband Colby by her side. I, we, will miss her loving presence greatly. Carol was a Shefayat in the Sufi Healing Order. She kept the Sufi Order International Healing list going for many, many years. People from all over the world brought names to the list she cared for so thoroughly and well.
Carol was a master practitioner and teacher of Tai Chi, a pillar of her family and community, and a kind, compassionate friend. As she approached her passing she was full of light and wisdom. The perfume of her being lingers in this world

…from the deepest heart of my heart….we shared so many times , when she guided & saw after our ‘ Sufi healing list’…my first ‘Leaders / Shafayat retreat’ in Seattle 2010, we met. She sang as I played drums….one day she called me to say thanks for the drumming during that gathering, I was totally amazed, that the sounds that came from that small drum touched her so much…I said if U like that drumming, then check a short clip on ‘you tube’…much too my surprise & awakening, she did almost immediately…she called back with a few minutes & said” oh, that’s good’, but your drumming from our time together still rings in my head & I can’t seem to want to hear anything else…
in the next few hours, she would transcend to even a higher level of drumming….I will always remember her when I drum…may Allah fill her heart with the awesome drumming of the Divine Heart Beat….
