3 Memories for “Moso John Catalin”

  1. on 27 Jan 2017 at 2:34 am1Leilah

… a dear man who had grown leaps and bounds in compassion, enjoyment and humor the last few years of his life. He was a lover of travel and of music, especially Turkish instruments and sufi music. His mystic was awakened through the awe of beauty in all of its many forms. Please offer some prayers for him. And offer him directly some words of kindness, appreciation and love.
    Light a candle for him
    Thank you

    Ya salaam Moso
    A deep bow
    Leilah

I met Moso some years ago at the Rhoen Dance Camp in Germany. We shared the love and enthusiasm for sung prayers which we both experienced early in our Christian childhood and were blessed to retrieve in the Dances of Universal Peace in a most beautiful and uplifting way.
Moso’s base station during his travels to Europe – always attracted by the beauty he found in European towns, castles etc. – was near our home, so we met during the following years, also with my husband, for diners and walks and spent nice hours together. Moso told me lately that, after long illness, he participated in the Hawaiian Sufi camp in last autumn and felt better than he had for a very long time – just like newborn.
    Dear Moso,
Crazy lover of beauty and pizza, it was great to have you in our life. Journey on! Find beauty everywhere!
    With love and prayer,
    Brigitte & Thomas

I found out tonight that Moso had passed.
    It still hasn’t hit totally.
I have been sending messages for a while
and wondered if he had just gone into
    reclusive silence.
Yet the reality is on us.
I know well what he faced medically,
but I did not see it coming.
My friend, I value what we shared in music,
    and in many other realms.
I will remember you in an oud composition starting now.
