Birth date: September 9, 1947 URS date: September 4, 2013
Gwen Nur Karima Jenkins, left the physical world on Wednesday, September 4, 2013. She had been surrounded by a plethora of loving friends since her second cancer diagnosis in October, 2012. Gwen didn’t care about her life story which spanned her almost 66 years of life; what was most important to her were her friendships, and she was blessed with many Beloveds who loved her deeply. A no nonsense, straight shooter with a dry sense of humor, a lover of the natural world, and of beauty, Gwen was very much with us until 3 days before her passing. She is deeply missed by her circle.
If anyone feels so moved, a donation can be made in Gwen’s name to Hospice of Petaluma, 416 Payran St., Petaluma 94952.
Gwen, sister on so many of the same paths,

I can still hear your comment….. “His name is Blue Sky? At our age? That can’t be good!” Oh how we laughed. Thank you for all that you have shared with me. I will miss you Dear Friend.
Dear Gwen Nur Karima,
We met in silence each week and never spoke. Your elegance and courage was an inspiration to me. Blessings.

I am remembering you in light
Beloved Gwen,
The reports you posted of your walks at the wildlife area, with wonderful photos of the swans and flora and fauna, sharing your love and appreciation of beauty, were touching to me. I will miss your steady, calm presence. Travel well,
Marlowe
What a loss for all of us who loved you. May you carry with you blessings like the ones you leave behind.
Gwen,
You are a true inspiration on my life’s path. Thank you for shining so bright and much peace and comfort on your journey.
We have the funds for Gwenkins’ memorial bench, thanks to the amazing generosity of our many friends. It will be such a comfort to hike up to Gwen’s bench in the woods and commune with her bubbly spirit in her native habitat. Thank you Beloved for the communion of those most dear to us who, having finished their earthly course, have returned home. May they continue to be an inspiration to us.
Gwen, your memory still lights up my heart and your wonderful humor still fills me with joy and I must admit to missing your physical presence so deeply. May your soul be eternally blessed, dear One.
Missing you still, dear friend. Your dry wit, your love of our shared practice of presence and inquiry, your love of music and light, your deep appreciation of the natural world and your pithy observations. Light and love be yours….
